Outlook Festival Artist Feature: Anile

Anile | Outlook Festival |

With Outlook Festival 2016 nearing around the corner, we’ve decided to shine the light on a few of the artists that are likely to blow you away with their intricate mixing abilities and pristine production.

One artist that comes to mind is Anile. Relatively new to the scene, Anile has been making some large strides over the past few years with a steady output of great records. In 2013 he had releases on many labels including Innerground Records and CIA, this would later develop into an exclusive signing with Med School; a sub-label of Hospital Records.

It wasn’t without good reason Med School picked him up as Anile’s recent productions are absolutely stunning. Off his recent debut album, the tune “Not the Way to Run” utilizes large pads that build ambiance to get the track going followed by stunning vocals. The drop is accompanied with perfectly tight drums and a beautiful melody that creates just the right amount of space to fill any sound system.

A perfect mix of liquid and deep drum and bass, “Not the Way to Run” is a song you can both reflect and dance to which is why I love it so much.

Another track, “Stay With Me” is another slice of liquid hypnosis. The type of song that forces the hips to swing with a big smile across your face. Every time I listen to this and the previous track I feel like I’m relaxing on a beach. This is relevant because it only increases my excitement to to see Anile play at Outlook Festival this summer. Nestled on the coast of the Adriatic Sea, the festival boasts some of the best acts in underground music with the greatest sound systems.

With a forthcoming EP on Med School, Anile and the rest of his label mates will be hosting a stage takeover and a boat party this year at Outlook. Surely to be filled with good times and good people, this is one that you can’t afford to miss. Hope to see you there!
